mind control

I have read stories about secret plots the govenment is involved in inoder to control our minds with haarp and floride in water, but I think they may be using perscription drugs.
Have you noticed how drugs no exist for every single discomfort known to man, and despite side effects like suicidal thoughts people still take this medication.

Its just a theory, has anyone else thought about that, and if so please share

Do you realize how much collusion would be necessary for this to be true? Every scientist, university professor, and every student at any level that learned about these drugs or saw their real effects in research settings would have to be in on the lie. This is statistically extremely unlikely.

As someone who is a bio major going into pharmacy and have seen some drug studies as well as learned the chem behind some mechanisms, I can assure you that there is no mass conspiracy. I start pharm school next year when I will be even more sure. Unless you think I'm in on it too

Anyway to find out for yourself start by looking at drug studies (you can find most publicly for free or through your local library) including positive testimonials from people who received the drug in double blind studies. You think they are all in on it too?

I don't think you are in on it, you may perhaps be an unknowing particapant caught up in the "system"

No matter what thing we swallow to aleveate the agony that is human life it has to be approved by the FDA, govenment conspiracys exist in govenment, perhaps.
And I would have to take the word of some peoples opinions that had their notions published in books because they were approved as right by another "system" built to play favoritism.

Or perhaps there is no conspiracy, and people really need a drug to stop their legs from wiggeling. I don't know.

I would like to toss this in. Ground water is being contaminated due to improper disposal of drugs. And it seems some sewer systems don't clean the drugs that pass through our bodies out very well. Something I think we will need to deal with in the future.

But I don't think it is intentional.

The problem with that theory is that I have seen some effects with my own eyes on animals. There are also empirical studies which are available that test drug effects. These studies are done by professors, researchers, drug companies, the government, and on and on. They are reproducible and often have been. Everyone can't be in on it- it makes no sense. Might as well question whether or not your need food and water to survive or whether you like to sleep. Are those potentially conspiracies too?

Before any drug is approved it is tested. Numerous times. Many drugs never even make it onto the market because they don't get approved. But the studies are still there. The other issue with this theory is that the FDA exists in the US only while these drugs are still supported by docs etc in virtually every country and people in virtually all those countries see improvements in their conditions from taking them often.

You can question reality, but everything is about chance. The chances that there is such massive collusion is extremely low. And I mean extremely.

Come on you got to admit its a good conspiracy theory!

I don't know any more, wouldn't it be easyer to control minds by getting people to treat things that are not illnesses than to try and get the to drink floride, or by some radio tower

What are you suggesting here? That the billions of people who suffer from sicknesses (and I am sure even you at some point in your life) are just making up their sicknesses? Or that doctors are prescribing medicines that still somehow make these people feel better (including again yourself probably) despite knowing that they don't do anything or might "control minds"? Or even that we know how to control minds right now? All of these are absurd hypotheses.

It is an absurd hypothesis for the sake of abserd hypothesis, that is what conspiracy theories are, you can't debunk them with rational thought.

Except you can. Out of curiosity are posing this "theory" because you believe it or just throwing it out as a potential conspiracy?

Is that response tongue-in-cheek or are you being serious? Because if it is the latter, your argument (or lack thereof) is much weaker than mine

Well that is your opinion, but what does that have to do with what I said anyway?

"Before any drug is approved it is tested. Numerous times. Many drugs never even make it onto the market because they don't get approved."
Dude this is what i was responding to -alot of companies pass off their drugs off on the FDA so that they will do a poor Job testing it leading to the point I trying to make-they Dont test well enough
this is the standard FDA test-
For most device and manufacturers, human factors validation testing requires conducting a simulated-use test, in which a minimum of 15 prospective users for each distinct user population are asked to operate the device in a meaningful way, in a realistic, but simulated environment. The test should be structured to mimic actual use, utilize a production version of the device or drug, and be sufficiently sensitive to capture use-related problems, if they exist.
The key here is a minimum of 15 users
Do you think 15 users in enough when 100s possible 1000s of peole are going to be using a drug

Clinical trials are usually way more than 15 people. I am not sure where you are getting that number from, but either way, it all comes down to statistics. There are biostatisticians that look at the samples and see how reflective they are of the population. It isn't as simple as you are making it to be and in some cases a sample of 15 may well be enough to gauge the population.
