Missile strikes kill 17 in Pakistan

Two missiles fired into Pakistan killed17 people near the Afghan border.

That's not a great way for Obama to start his new international policy. This is really going to turn public opinion in Pakistan against us. People there were at least hoping for a change of pace.

The thing is, I don't think he has much of a say in those matters even though he's the commander in chief as the military division clearly wants to continue the war while he doesn't.

And according to the article, such strikes have been common so it was only a matter of time..

Any missile strike going into Pakistan requires the personal approval of the President. He has the final, and only "say" in the matter.

They were common to the Bush administration but since Obama is trying a whole new foreign policy (including strengthening ties with Pakistan), this is going to make the job a lot harder.

Obama promised to go after terrorists on the campaign trail and seems to be keeping up with that promise. Many of the terrorists are from Pakistan.

Well, these type of things are really not good for general people who want to stay happily. and such type of things disturb them totally. one should think before doing such type of things.

But it's not the terrorist to is greatly affected. They are general public and ordinary people. When it comes to war, they are the ones who mostly affected. If possible, they can just create a war planet where they will go there to fight each other. But fighting is not good you know.
