'They almost froze to death': Refugees frostbitten after walking to Manitoba border

Two men from Ghana are recovering in the burn ward of a Winnipeg hospital after getting lost near the Emerson border on Christmas Eve while fleeing the United States.

The men, aged 24 and 34, were found on Highway 75 just north of Letellier, Man., on the morning of Christmas Eve after walking in the cold for several hours.

A truck driver, who has not come forward publicly, stopped to help the men.
The driver called 911 and an ambulance took the men to the hospital in the town of Morris, Man., before rushing the pair to the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre....

Chahal said there's a network in Minneapolis of refugee claimants who are fleeing the United States. They are primarily from Somalia and Ghana, she said.

"They obviously have fear [for] their lives and that's why they're asking us in Canada to help them with the protection."

The nightmare begins --- even before Trump has his little hands on the levers of power.

Being a supremely egotistical sociopath, Trump doesn't care what are the effects of his words or actions, just so that he gets his way --- same as Hitler.

Not only does he terrorize people, he has deliberately incited more deep divisions in the American people --- the incidence of attacks on minorities has gone way, way up since his race and religious baiting started. Already he has a lot to answer for, but it's going to get a lot worse.

Mark my words, this Trump disaster will not end well --- it never does.
