Truth Trivialized By Climate Alarmists

New York (magazine) published a cover story on Monday entitled, “The Uninhabitable Earth,” with this grim subtitle: “Famine, economic collapse, a sun that cooks us: What climate change could wreak—sooner than you think.” David Wallace-Wells’s 7,000-word article is so disconnected from reality that debunking loses its thrill within a few paragraphs. Even Michael Mann, among the most strident climate scientists, wrote on Facebook that “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. The article fails to produce it.”

The Truth is we're all ****ed. We passed the point of no return, methane depots are vaporizing, the oceans are acidifying and fisheries are in total collapse all over the planet. In 100 years entire regions will be no go zones for humans. In 500 the world will be a shadow of what it is now. Considering now is a mass extinction that has wiped out 60% of all life over the past 50k years... Well as I said at the start, we're ****ed.

If that sounds alarmist, IT'S BECAUSE IT'S ****ING TERRIFYING, not becuase it's false.
Thanks from numan

fewer people is really the only thing that will help. there's just too many of us. we can talk reducing emissions and climate control, etc and that's good, but mathematically useless as human population keeps growing.

here's where globalism actually makes sense. (gasp! did I just say that out loud?!)

responsible individual countries (as if there were any) can't control the pollution and damage committed by other countries. Nor can they control that other areas over-produce human life (india, Africa, Haiti, etc) without the means to care for those individuals much less the life supporting environments and nature that surround them.

There needs to be fewer people and there are non-draconian ways to accomplish this through behavioral incentives. if you make a baby, you get taxed, not rewarded. if you make more than one that tax increases. if you have no babies, you get a tax break. if you adopt you get a tax break.

People and governments often talk the reverse:

We need to increase population to support the care-taking of the older generations (financially, SS, labor force, etc). that's all rubbish, you could ride that train until we are elbow to elbow with each other.

We could institute mass sterilization to reduce World population to 10% of what it is now.

That is far too few people.

Even if we kill all sociopaths, that is still only about 4% of the population. The only advantage is that Donald Trump would no longer be an infectious meme.

On the other hand, if we execute all people who cannot pass a simple test about the nature of global warming ----
.

No need to kill all sociopaths, such people simply lack emotion. The Valcons/Jedi aren't evil after all. It's only the low functioning sociopaths that are an issue

Reality dictates that those who ignore a danger will eventually succumb to it. In this case however, the vast majority of these people are of an advanced enough age to die before the danger becomes bad enough to effect them. Their grandchildren however will be unable to follow their lead and will instead wonder why Grandpa was so ignorant.

I am watching this situation creep upon us every year.
Thanks from numan and Cosmo

And those "chicken littles" that fuss over faux danger make fools of themselves and live in vain, wasting their lives in phantom fear.

I'm young enough I'll see the Mideast and Western US (Pacific Coast excluded) become uninhabitable. Scary times we live in.

Complete and total hyperbole!

The actual events compared to the "models" of 20-30 years ago (or whatever) is not a comparison, rather a HUGE contrast!

Climate Dynamics is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Springer Science+Business Media. It covers all aspects of the dynamics of global climate systems, including analytical and numerical modeling research on the structure and behavior of the atmosphere, oceans, cryosphere, biomass, and land surface as interacting components of the dynamics of global climate. The journal also publishes reviews and papers emphasizing an integrated view of the physical and biogeochemical processes governing climate and climate change.

You obviously have no idea what you are typing about. You also do not grasp the concept of time in this case, likely you will not be capable of understanding what is going on before your expiration and are thus rather irrelevant in this. Truth be told those in denial of the obvious changes in the last 50 years need not worry anyway because they will be long dead before it gets seriously bad for their grandkids and will have no way of knowing they assisted in their suffering.
The level of ignorance you display in multiple areas leads me to accepting you as less than worthy of complex thought and discussion. I suggest you stick to bodily functions, Man crush displays of admiration, pointless or disturbing pictures, and useless poll questions.
