Scientists Fear Trump Will Dismiss Blunt Climate Report

WASHINGTON The average temperature in the United States has risen rapidly and drastically since 1980, and recent decades have been the warmest of the past 1,500 years, according to a sweeping federal climate change report awaiting approval by the Trump administration.

The draft report by scientists from 13 federal agencies concludes that Americans are feeling the effects of climate change right now. It directly contradicts claims by President Trump and members of his cabinet who say that the human contribution to climate change is uncertain, and that the ability to predict the effects is limited.

So what? 1,100 years ago it was WARMER than now! Man was not to blame then, as was a natural cycle, so obviously now is too. MUCH better than an ice age - hello?!

There is no good evidence that the MWP was a globally warm period comparable to today. Regionally, there may have been places that exhibited notable warmth, Europe, for example, but all global proxy reconstructions agree it is warmer now, and the temperature is rising faster now, than at any time in the last one or even two thousand years.
If you intend to use common skeptic arguments that have been debunked that is your business;just do not expect me to take you seriously.

There has be like a 20 year lull (i.e. TOTAL flat temperatures) that was was night and day compared to irrational predictions, that were obviously fudged! But of course, you IGNORE that.

The bottom line is that the cost of doing something about natural temperature changes FAR outweighs the benefits. As a businessman, Trump is dead nuts on not WASTING money!!!

The bottom line is that you echo debunked memes regarding AGW.

Attempting to educate this one on ANYTHING of complexity or scientific is a futile effort that will merely create frustration, it is best to simply read it and move along to giggle to yourself.

Denalists have no sense of embarrassment;nowhere does this become more obvious than when dealing with AGW or evolution.
Thanks from David, tecoyah and numan

BINGO!!! It it indeed FAR too complex for man to understand, predict, or control!

All we can do is accept what nature throws at us.

The "Report" may be "blunt", but could be far from accurate. Anyone believing like gospel predictions of the future is a fool indeed.

All you continue to do is document your ignorance of the science you presume to criticize.
Thanks from tecoyah and numan

LOL! You are merely spewing nonsense. It'd be like someone saying "the Johnson Macho automobile sucks", even though same person is oblivious to its existence. CAPECHE?

The bottom line, is to say "man is causing it" would require a test group, and a controlled group one identical Earth to ours with no humans, and compare to our current Earth. Since that is obviously not achievable, impossible to conclude man has ANY effect on our weather/climate.
