The Balkans used to be a death trap. Then it balkanized as now the worst that happens is the Surbs pretending Kosovo doesn't exist and rascist Macedonians and Greeks throwing insults at each other. Most of the region is a holdover from colonial times, redrawing the borders to resemble reality will only stabilize the region.
