Do we have a Dictator now?

It's impossible for Trump to 'obstruct justice,' his lawyer says - ABC News

"The "president cannot obstruct justice because he is the chief law enforcement officer under Art II and has every right to express his view of any case," Dowd added
."

Of course, this is coming from the guy who lied about sending the Trump Tweet that implicates him for obstruction. This guy should get a job for Judge Judy.

Too soon to tell. If he doesn't leave office at the end of his elected term - he is!

I wouldn't call it a dictatorship, the courts still have power over him and Congress isn't quite a rubber stamp.
Thanks from Ralph47

I smiled at the fact he has lawyers drafting his tweets that then go to the WH for checking... made me wonder just what Trump actually does.

Oh, don't get me wrong. The Orangutan WANTS to be a dictator but as it currently stands he's just an authoritarian president. Only Lincoln and FDR (maybe Jackson depending on how you define dictatorship) ever assumed dictatorial powers and neither of them did so in a way that destroyed the Republic (though Lincoln thought he had).
