State of the Union

'

And there they are! bold as brass -- fasces bini --- one on either side of the Speaker's platform !!

Are people so blind that they don't see them at every State of the Union broadcast?

It has long been clear to me that, without missing a beat, the United States ruling class took the Nazi heritage and carried it forward -- and in many ways, much more slickly and efficiently than the Nazis did themselves.

This is so obvious, it always amazes me that more people don't see it.

They date back to the Roman Empire. They are "a classical symbol of civic authority and unity".

Strange statement to be coming from one of the most imperialistic nations on the face of the earth.

To get back on topic: how was the S.O.T.U.? Watch a Lightning game, so didn't see a bit of it.

Shouldn't the royal coat of arms be removed from all British courtrooms because it is a symbol of British imperialism?

I thought it was a damn fine speech. Best of all the dems looked like the party of loathing and hate. That's a good lemming!

I have a perfectly normal perspective. It's like rugby v. American football - sensible people don't play your games because they hurt the head.

I believe one of my grandsons could have played college football. I was disappointed when he did not pursue it. Now I am glad he did not. I told him so last week during a visit.

Yes, they say brain damage can occur over time, even when no apparent concussions happened.
