Not opinion, Walmart consistently falls short on CS surveys. When is the last time you saw Walmart (as a company) get a CS award? And this despite being in the most trusted and respected industry in America.

Still a pointless rant.

It makes no sense to hate Wal-Mart.
Thanks from Aufgeblassen

Walmart engages in unethical business practices, Walmart has bad CS, Walmart sells subpar products, Walmart, despite their claims, is overpriced, Walmart is ad for local economies, Walmart exploits the developing world, etc. There are plenty of reasons to hold Walmart in contempt.
Thanks from tecoyah

No it isn't. It may be the reason YOU hold them in contempt. But the American people still embrace them.
Thanks from Aufgeblassen

I avoid them too, if I find a better price elsewhere, but that happens infrequently.

LOL!!!

circle talk
A person/conversation that continually forgets what was just asked, and the same question repeatedly comes up. Usually associated with a medicated person. (Also see circle talker)

The truth is, a whole bunch of people have benefited over the years from their increased spending power due to lower prices at Wal Mart.

And you get to use all that extra money to pay the taxes that pay for the welfare for Walmart employees.
Thanks from tecoyah

lots of people hate Walmart. Some people shop at Walmart. Everyone that hates walmart also hates the people that shop at Walmart thus answering the question posed in the OP.

Why you're taking this so personally is beyond all logic.

It is STILL pointless to hate people because of where they shop

You are the one that is taking it personally. I just said it was pointlessto haute people that shop at Wal-Mart. They aren't going to stop shopping there. I'd you hate Wal-Mart, good for you, don't shop there. I don't really understand why you keep responding.

Don't like it than don't do it. Want to hate people for shopping there, seems a waste of time but be my guest. Maybe you can wear costumes and burn giant doubleyous in their parking lots. I bet they still don't get the message.

Hatred is a fools errand David.

I do not "Hate" the shoppers in Walmart...though I do note they are generally unpleasant to see and fall into a class of society I tend to avoid. This may be a localized reality based upon my location and state, but it is there nonetheless.

I try to stay away from our local Walmart because I feel the business practices of the company do not jive with my ethical beliefs...and though I accept that the company provides quite a bit of opportunity and employment, the lack of a living wage is disturbing to me, and because of it's size...likely contributes to the increase in poverty.

My brother in law is a buyer for Costco, and having researched the comparison between these two companies, it is very clear Walmart could and should be doing more for its employee base and would still be very profitable.

I find it quite odd indeed that you loath people simply because they are smart shoppers. Just because you lack the knack to find great deal is not a good reason to hate those that do!!!

How does it matter one iota if Joan Smith gets her great deals from a small chain store, or great big huge Wal Mart??? The bottom line, is that either way she has leftover money for other things (food, medicine, etc.), and is less likely to cross into in poverty due to increase buying power!
