Why Must They Pick On Wal Mart Shoppers?

They make them seem like they are "trailer trash" or something along those lines.

It's really trendy to hate Wal-Mart right now, and I am not exactly sure why. That includes mocking people for shopping there.

Not sure how this vendetta came to exist but it clearly does.

I need to shop Target...and will state quite clearly that the folks (mostly women) I see there are superior to my vision than those noted in Walmart.

It is a societal and personal bias.

Walmart sells knock off junk, has horrible CS and is bad to it's employees. Naturally this upsets people as does people not giving a crap and shopping there anyway. Throw in Walmart's low prices attracting poor, illiterate trash (white or otherwise) and you get the negative stereotype.
Thanks from tecoyah

If any of those ramblings were true, they would not have been in business and expanding this long.
Thanks from Polydectes

People buy poison to use on themselves for entertainment. Why wouldn't Walmart still be in business. People (especially Americans and Chinese consumers) are idiots.

What poison? Arsenic?
What recreational value does that have?

Tobacco (or more accurately nicotine), alcohol, meth, coke (both kinds count), the zombie drug, spice, bath salts, etc. We dump BILLIONS of dollars into it all full well knowing it's results.

Has nothing really to do with Wal-Mart. Thanks for the ranting though.

Never said it did. I was making the point in response to Aufgeblassen no understanding how a business with bad PR could prosper.

When I bought my two recliners online at Wal Mart & had them shipped to nearby Neighborhood Market, they came in two BIG boxes. I had them open the top of one before taking delivery, to see if the chairs were whole (in which case I'd have to borrow a pickup truck) or in pieces.

Turns out the chairs were in two pieces. So two of their grunt employees carried the 1st box out to the parking lot, and tore/cut open the boxes (it was actually double boxed). They loaded the back of the chair into my Jetta's backseat, and the main part of the chair into my trunk.

So I went home (2.1 miles), unloaded, and arrived back at Neighborhood maybe 10 minutes later. The two guys were like waiting outside for me. So we went inside, I signed for the 2nd chair, and did the procedure all over again with the two guys.

I would say I had some pretty good customer service at Wal Mart!

Wal-Mart doesn't have bad customer service compared to other places. It just seems to be in vogue to dump on them.

I don't really like walmart. I always feel like ive shortened my life a little bit when I go there. its crowded, stressful and loud. I also don't like how they seem to have pushed out mom and pop type stores over the years. that said, I realize that that is how life is going and I don't have anything against them from any elitist / anti-capitalism standpoint.

they are what they are and do what they do very well: buy in bulk and sell things cheap. they also probably have helped the economy and employment a great deal.

On a case by case basis, I agree but as a company hell no.
