It is interesting to watch people with no education or understanding of law or apparently our Constitution critique people that have spent years doing so just because they disagree with them. Rather silly.

There were MANY things I disagreed with Obama on....but I never doubted he was a Constitutional scholar so I found other things to blast him on.
Thanks from numan

They can stop a an EO ONLY if unconstitutional - period. NOT because they don't like it!!! Original one was totally inappropriately stopped. Undeniable. No CONSTITUTIONAL grounds whatsoever.

A TOTAL abuse of power if because "they don't like it".

It would seem the people who are far more educated on the Constitution and law disagree with your assessment.

Yes it does...apparently these EO's do not work within it very well.

very a vague statement not addressing the point about the constitution being about citizens.

read and learn:

Hawaii Judge?s Travel-Ban Ruling against Trump Executive Order Is Dangerous | National Review

Quote:
Rules on “standing” mean that not just anybody can waltz into federal court and challenge government actions. To maintain an action, you must demonstrate that you have suffered a violation of a recognized right. To use the lingo of the courts, you must show that your injuries are “concrete and particularized.”

If you’re, say, a shopkeeper in Raqqa, Syria, who possesses neither a visa granting you entry to the United States nor a green card, you have precisely zero recognized constitutional rights that help you gain entry into this country.

If you hired a lawyer in the United States in an effort to sue your way into this country, claiming rights under the First Amendment, a court would toss you out of court with all due speed.

Faced with this legal reality, here’s what the Hawaii court did: It used the hurt feelings (yes, really) of American residents and the hypothetical economic harm to American states and local institutions to functionally grant constitutional rights to tens of millions of non-Americans living in...

I am sure there are very intelligent and learned individuals who think the US constitution covers citizens and non-citizens alike.

It does not. Read it.

I have read it and understand it quite well...the fact it (obviously) only covers citizens of the country is was written for is not in question.

I have little or no respect for the American Constitution --- I am only interested in what is right and practical.

Before I left the United States, I wrote a letter to the State Department informing them that I was seceding from the Federal Union because of their evil war in Vietnam.

If a million Americans followed my example, the United States would have the possibility of becoming a decent nation.
