I am essentially a rock-ribbed conservative --- as "conservative" was understood in 19th century Britain.

The Republican Party is not a conservative party --- it is a cabal of billionaire oligarchs, snake-oil salesmen, militarists, and assorted other jingoes and crypto-fascists.

I would not think of voting Republican until they apologize for supporting the Iraq War, and until they urge that G. W. Bush and his cronies be tried as war criminals.
.
Thanks from tecoyah

If there were war crimes (), there were have been charges by the Hague - PERIOD. Since there were not, no such delusional occurrences happened! -hello?!

As the old Roman saying goes,

"The birds fly through the webs that catch the little flies."

That's neat! But most assuredly does not negate my last statement.

Actually:

A recent global review of birds caught in spider webs reported only three Asian cases. Given this surprisingly low number, I made a concerted effort to obtain additional Asian cases from the literature, the internet, and field workers. I present a total of 56 Asian cases which pertain to 33 bird species. As in the global dataset, mostly small bird species were caught in spider webs, with a mean body mass of 17.5 g and a mean wing chord length of 73.1 mm. Consequently, birds with a body mass >30 g were very rarely caught. This Asian review corroborates the global review that smaller birds are more likely to be caught and that Nephila spiders are most likely to be the predators. Continuous monitoring of spider webs is recommended to ascertain the frequency of these events.

Actually, when considering your online persona and the level of independent thought combined with obvious disregard for Constitutional norms and blind devotion to a personality cult.....yes I do feel a bit better.

I would recommend you folks consider the implications extrapolated going forward but, it would seem consideration and thought are not your forte.
Thanks from David

oh don't be that way!

but seriously a "prosecutor" would be getting the cart before the horse. they have been "investigating" for months, even before the inauguration. if they had some silver bullet they would have certainly produced it by now.

you can't "prosecute" what you simply do not have. attention whores spouting hyperbole on tv and hipsters pretending they are in a revolution does not count for evidence.

Hopefully you have a better understanding of the situation than implied by this commentary. Prosecution is not in play as investigation is taking place as required before ANY prosecutor is needed. Often these investigations take years to gather data and even more so when dealing with the complexities and multitude of angles/individuals involved. Talking point mentality does not fit this issue in any way.

Ok.
what would trigger needing a prosecutor at this point?

When an investigation is completed, facts have been gathered that allow a prosecutor to put together a compelling case for charges to be filed....this is the way EVERY criminal case it brought to trial in court. Once in court witnesses testify, evidence is submitted, and the Judge/Jury decide on guilt and sentence. When an individual being investigated interferes with the investigation it can effect or damage, if not derail said investigation which is why it is illegal.

Apparently unless you are the President.

Yes, when the law enforcement agency thinks there is enough evidence to bring in a prosecutor, they will. Until then, not so much.

Also until then, keep in mind:
