Here’s a sword, General Kelly. Use it on the White House lies.

Quote:
The Washington Post’s Fact Checker has relentlessly catalogued the president’s prevarications. A few months ago, the New York Times produced an astonishingly long list of the lies since he took office, and described the problem:

“There is simply no precedent for an American president to spend so much time telling untruths. Every president has shaded the truth or told occasional whoppers. No other president — of either party — has behaved as Trump is behaving. He is trying to create an atmosphere in which reality is irrelevant.”

As Kelly, under the president’s direction, looks for a communications director to replace Scaramucci, the truth problem looms large. How do you maintain credibility and, yes, integrity when the boss is wandering through the fields of fantasy?
Quote:
Kelly may well be Trump’s best hope for saving the White House from utter chaos. A grounding in reality — yes, truth — needs to be a part of that salvation.
What do you think of Kelly and his chances of success? How does he attempt to find someone that can stamp down on the alice in wonderland tweets and help Trump span that mental bridge from lies to reality?

Short of declaring and instigating war on the people he has taken charge of (including Trump) he will fail to reign in the chaotic atmosphere. The "Leaks" coming out of the White House are probably coming from people who either worry about what is happening or are amongst the very many individuals Trump has pissed off or threatened.
I doubt very much anyone can "Fix" this mess as it is like a leaking oil pipeline at the bottom of the gulf....you can mop up the oil today, but it is still pumping.

The general isn't going to fix anything unless he's willing to orchestrate a coup. And I'd rather call that a diffrent kind of shitshow than a 'fix'.

What lies? And do be specific - thanks.

Sometimes a thing called "miscommunication" happens between folks (hominids are inherently not very good at communication, especially when it has gone thru several parties). Such occurrences do not constitute actual lies.

Comparatively, there sure were a lot of actual lies from the Obama W/H.

Coming from YOU....that is particularly funny.
Still...knowing how adverse you are to researching data...I'll provide it for you.

I think the information you require is readily avaliable on the internet through the various search engines. The question for you is perhaps more the believability of those assertions which is something I/we cannot do anything about.

...nor do they constitute accuracy, therein lies the issue. Your President has to choose his words with extrreme care as they can affect peoples lives and have an effect on national and international interactions and relations. Thus do you not think it advisable that thought and care should be taken when communicating to the outside world so as not to "miscommunicate"

I get my real and actual facts from realclearpolitics.com. If it is not posted there, it is likely pure fiction.

It does seem that your hawkish President seems hell bent on promoting some form of conflict somewhere in the world. Does he get a hard-on from provoking people... dissappearing into the toilets to whack out a quickie at the thought of a little war somewhere?

With any luck Lil 'Kimmy understand the integrity if Mr. Trumps words and will react accordingly. Unfortunately he is as unpredictable and honest as Trump...so really it's a crap shoot.

Yup....I agree with you
It used to be that new leaders were content to have the picture of themselves grinning and shaking hands with Nelson Mandela but since that is thankfully not possible anymore the next alternative for world glory is a small war.... preferably in some flyblown shithole with people that can't fight back......hmmmm.....but that doesn't always work out now does it??
Anyway if the folks back home get a bit restless with you then have a war! What could be more compelling than flexing those great big sticks that your generals like to carry....
