Anyone Else Still Have A Typewriter?

The one we have was said to be my mom's at work at her office before she retired while pregnant with me. They told her she could keep it and take it home.

Now, it just sits and collects dust in our living room.

The last one rolled off an assembly line in India a few months ago. Nobody makes them now.

Kind of like the last (old) Beetle rolled off assembly line in Mexico recently.

We still have an old electric typewriter on a shelf in the Garage...I have no idea why it's still there.

You are hoping someone will steal it, so you can collect the insurance money.

Helped my folks sort through some of the junk in their attic and found an old typewriter. And a memeograph. I think the typewriter is from the sixties. It is thekind with the individual letterstrikers it didn't have the globe like in the opening of hard copy.

I had to mess with it, pretty cool little gadget. So cleverly designed so simple mechanical yet complex. I don't knew if I can get ink for it but it would be fun to play around with it.
