Why do you find motivated and successful people "tedious"? Personally I would like nothing more than to sit down with the likes of Bill Gates and chew the fat with him!

Gates and a few others are an exception to the new rule...they actually spend their money for positive change ie: Musk and space, Gates and health...etc.

The VAST majority of wealthy individuals and industries keep profits or spend a bit on lobbying or paying politicians.

Every man to his own taste. To spend your life sweating away to cheat others of bits of metal and paper so that you can associate with bigger cheats seems to sensible people the height of fatuity. You only live once, so why not do that thing. Anyone reasonably intelligent can easily get enough, and what sort of clown needs more?
