Has this country (U.S.A) allowed a new class of "people" to evolve?

Does money and it's influence changed the game?

While wealth has always created influence in our politics...it has not been a major force. I have seen (perhaps just perception), the capital force becoming a dominant force, in many ways directing our Government.

I see this as a negative trend.

Do you think the robber barons had less power than today's richest? I disagree.

The only difference I see is now they can do it legally. Jury is out on how effective money wars are in federal elections. So far looks like a good ground game trumps money, but with better opponents, I bet money makes a bigger difference.
