It would seem the United States is evolving into something new. The traditional strengths that defined our country are being slowly eroded away while we watch. Our free press, judiciary separation, law enforcement, congressional ability, international standing and reputation, even the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are fading.
While much of this does indeed come from the top, there is another aspect to all this. We the people are letting it all happen on our watch and some are actively celebrating it with no regard for what will ensue in the aftermath. If this is allowed to reach fruition our country will be unrecognizable within a decade or so and the world will be changed dramatically.
I expect some will deny this reality, debase the messenger, ignore the signs and fall into rank like a good soldier but, it does not change my observation.

So...I must ask the question.

Are you comfortable with all this?

who is debasing who at this juncture?

He did a total 180 on Election Day regarding Trump. Calling someone out for falling in line when they do indeed fall in line and make a big show of it is hardly debasing.

Just ask people their opinion instead of setting up these close-minded caveats and expectations that you then violate.

In terms of comfort level, my guess is that those that were uncomfortable with the way the government was being run under Obama are more comfortable now.

Those that were very comfortable with how Obama managed things are very uncomfortable now.

I don't think Trump or his policies are perfect, but I am far more comfortable with him as president than I was under Obama or would likely have been under Hillary.

A starting point for my relative comfort level:

Trump espouses love of country.
Obama and Hillary seemed to have relative disdain for it.

I don't know who is worse; my eldest son or tecoyah. They both have fallen for the fake news, hook, line, & sinker!
I am pleased that your mental disability is not hereditary. --- :p

The billionaire oligarchs and their war machine go-fers are busy destroying everything that once was good about America.

The only bright spot is that they will also eventually destroy themselves --- like the nobles of Old France and the autocrats of czarist Russia.
