And that is why the people should have guns. Liberals seem to think that the Western nations will never find themselves in the situation as Iranians currently find themselves in. Obviously they haven't read much history and don't understand that seemingly free societies can turn into oppressive ones over time.

I have to agree. Exactly how democratic is the political system in the US? Democracy seems to stop after election, and then there are a few people who write bills that get voted on and reported by the media. During the election there are only two candidates to choose between. Looks as thought the democratic system has become autocratic in a way.
