Why anyone would have the bad taste to want to save such a flawed charter as the US Constitution is beyond my comprehension, but if one is serious in pursuing such a goal, then, logically, there is only one way to do it. To save the Constitution, it must be destroyed.
The complex nature of the modern world makes intrusive government inevitable.
Granted that the antiquated Constitution of the Founding Fathers cannot function as the blueprint of a large, modern, complex nation-state, then the only way that it could function is to break up the United States into smaller, simpler entities in which it could manage to function.
To destroy the Constitution in order to save it might appear paradoxical to some, but during my lifetime the principle that "it must be destroyed in order to save it" has become such a common and repeated feature of American life and tradition that it should be no problem for a true American to accept it.
