Brian Williams of NBC news had some "doctor" on his show tonight, whining about an alleged drop in the ranking of the US in infant mortality. This canard is a staple of lib media shilling for obama's healthcare putsch. She made a point that even Cuba is ranked higher than the US.
As just about everyone knows, such stats, usually originating from the UN world health organization, depend on self-reported stats from individual countries, of questionable credibility. Further, the US counts every live birth, even the most premature births, as live births, whereas other countries rig the stats by not counting as a death (or a birth that even happened) preemies who die before attainiung normal health. As for Cuba, the state health system keeps careful track of the pre-natal condition of fetuses, and if any irregularities are found, compells the mother to have an abortion, obviously helping their stats. (Question: How many libs want to have their baby in a cuban as opposed to a US hospital?
) Beyond that, with it's open door to illegal aliens, a situation without parallel anywhere in the world, the US provides birthing services for near-term mothers from third world countries who step over the border to have an anchor baby, a baby which will have had little or no prenatal care and therefore will have a riskier birth.
