According to our culture its baseless to marry a person from the same sex.
Gay marriage are getting popular because of the fact that male -female ratio in our country is on the lower side.
and moreover no matter how open minded one can become but still its very difficult to accept such a thing.

I have no problem with same-sex marriage. I think that love isn't based on the physical side but on the spiritual side. If two guys or two girls like each other then let them like each other. I live in America and go to an American high school with many kids from many different backgrounds and religions. There is probably 10-15 open gay and lesbian students at my school of 850-900. And we all get along with them because they are just being them selves and they aren't hurting anyone. I would rather put as much effort into fixing crime and humanitarian problems as people do the "gay and lesbian problem".
Ok I know your asking on a religious basis here so YES when religion comes into it GAY relationships ARE WRONG they are condemned and religion and gay marriages or relationships don't go together.
HOWEVER.
Liars, Thieves, Murderers, Cheats and Adulterers, People who dishonour there parents, jealousy, putting other things before God, Love of money all these things are equally condemned amongst other things they are all condemned.
We just as the gay people are going to Hell with them a sin is a sin none is as big as the other in God's eyes right?
I hate how people discriminate against this type of Sin, sin is sin we all our sinners and should go to hell.
However because of the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ we are not going to Hell and ALL sins ( including being in a gay relationship/marriage) can be forgiven.
I suppose many will say we can't keep repeating sin though well we all lust over and over again yet we can be forgiven over and over again.
Also I do believe you can be gay and remain celibate there is nothing wrong with that.
I am not condoning SIN at all it's wrong but we are not the judge God is we don't know who will go to Hell or Heaven he does. So I believe our job as God fearing people is not to judge but instead to show love mercy and compassion and let God do the convicting and judging.

If you talk about the religion then gay weddings are not accepted in my religion but i really don't think that i have a problem with gay marriages,i think if you are gay then it is better to stay gay and live life and then go to hell than marry someone from the opposite sex,whom you don't like and stay in hell all your life.People who are gay may have some physical or mental reason to be gay and one really should not blame that person to be the way he or she is and if he wants to get married with the same sex then let it be.As a human being every person has the right to live life on their own terms and conditions and we should not impose our beliefs and terms on anybody be it gay or not.
According to our religion, its not acceptable.And I think no religion accepts that because this thing was non-existent at time when religions came into existence.
In my personal opinion, its not wrong. Its their life, they have the right to choose how to live it. But yeah, I dont know why they prefer same sex maybe some mental calamity which brought some hormonal changes.

I don't think gay marriage is currently accepted in the world. I have nothing against it personally, but I think people could be a little more accepting. If two people are really in love, who are we to say they can't be with each other? It doesn't matter if it's a gay relationship or not. We are all the same.
As a Christian myself, we don't accept gay marriages.. and I think that goes for almost every religion out there including Muslims, Budhists, etc..

A debateable topic it is, if people were born homosexual or they turned into one, they still have the right to do whatever they want. Now this may seem like "oh then people should have the right to kill!".. No. Just no.. I mean it's common sense, people should be able to understand what I'm trying to say. In my opinion, gay marriage should really be allowed (I'm not gay, don't think I'm saying this because you think I'm gay) - wait, it IS allowed, it's just not "accepted". But yeah, people have to understand and step into other people's shoes and go through what they go through every day.

In my country it is strictly prohibited , as it is against the law of Nature and God . I think there is no need to do this type of things because male is always in need of female and female is always in need of male . This the rule made by God and hence the god have made two types of humans.

well i say not becouse my Religion says that Same sex marriage can generate lots of problem in Society.. we have live examples now.
See how many adults are haveing Problems of HIV and AIDs. yeah it is not for Same sex marriage but homosex is one of the reason behind it

The thing is that if those people actually love each other, is it right to shun them?
In a way, it's like making fun of someone who loves someone who you might think is really ugly. And if someone truly only loves someone of the same gender, can you stop them? It's like a mentally challenged person, they can't do certain things but does that mean they should be neglected?

After reading a lot of replies, I would like to tell that a Man is not born gay. Its some mental (chemical locha) disturbances that initiate this. God never made a Man gay, its their own feelings which is due to some hormonal changes or a mental calamity(as I call it).
Yes! Vidit I second you. I have recently read some where that homosexuality has some thing to do with hormones and chromosomes so technically we can’t blame them that they get attracted to the same sex. If we talk in a religious way every living creature is made by god, so if god made them to be gays let them be gays. Why should we bother about their sexual preferences? Even gays are humans with emotions if they love someone why can’t they marry their love. Yeah but I’m against gays adopting kids.
Actually, I believe that he is right but it doesn't mean much. The divorce rate is lower, but the divorce rate for heterosexual marriage would be much lower if you had to move to another state and face a ton of persecution to get it done.
I'm not religious so I guess I can't say much about this. My point is that so much of the Bible is ignored already. People acknowledge that some of the harsher statements just don't apply. Back then, it was just good sense to ban homosexuality. You wanted them to be popping out dozens of new Christians to survive in the harsh world and spread the faith. It's just standard thought for the time.
Things are different now. I'd note that homosexuality has been spotted in dolphins and monkeys and that biologists are forming theories that it is a natural adaptation for population control.
I figure that the causes are mixed for homosexuality. Sexual studies as a whole tend to be rather confusing and counter intuitive, so we've barely cracked the surface on what decides a person's sexuality.
Friends lets try to understand why a person turns gay.there must be a strong reason behind it which could be both mental or physical,now it is in the mentality of a person that he is gay so you really cannot force him to turn straight.everyday we hear a lot of jokes or even protests against gay people and i feel bad for them,i think their life is already too complicated and we should not make it more complicated for them.
