Reports are surfacing of some kind of oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, and the United States Coast Guard has confirmed an offshore platform is on fire.

KHOU television in Houston reported on Twitter that two have died from the fire and two are currently missing. Four others are reported injured.
According to the Associated Press, the offshore platform is burning, and the Coast Guard in News Orleans has activated a command center to investigate."

Focus so far is on the crew....3 in critical, 2 dead, 2 missing

Nothing yet on leaks...but it is a shallow water platform. Plus this is not a drilling rig, so thats better.
