temp is 3x that of the hottest part of Mercury...Io has no water, it is one big volcano (actually 600 or so) in constant eruption...pretty cool though.

Actually Mercury is not tidally locked, it is in spin-orbit resonance, rather than being tidally locked. it is locked to its own orbit around the Sun in a 3:2 resonance. Every part of it gets sunlight at some point and would be baked into a char.
