Body tissue is dissolved and the liquid poured into the municipal water system. Mr Sullivan, a biochemist by training, says tests have proven the effluent is sterile and contains no DNA, and poses no environmental risk.

I could understand spreading on park land or something. But putting it straight in the water supply turns me off. The farm across the road from me had sludge spread on their farm for about 5 years. It came from the county sewer system. Smelled bad on a hot day.
