Rick Santorum 'to quit campaign'

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is due to speak shortly amid US media reports he is poised to quit his campaign.
The former Pennsylvania senator is about to hold a news conference in Gettysburg in his home state.
The social conservative had been campaigning for Pennsylvania's primary on 24 April.
His exit would leave former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney as the all but certain nominee.

I noticed during his concession speech, Santorum did not mention Romney once.

I don't think there was much he could say.

Romney is not going to ask him to run for VP with him.

Awesome. A victory for the US. Wonder what Santorum will do now, he may have lost the election, but he revived his career as a politician.

I would guess his next race may be governor. He is young enough to do a term in state government before running for president again.:unsure:
