Two Senators collapse at inaugural luncheon

Senators Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd both collapsed at the inaugural luncheon today. Both Senators have had recent health problems, but this news is still shocking and unfortunate. What a sad thing for such a celebratory day.

EDIT: It turns out it was only Kennedy that collapsed, the reports about Byrd were confirmed to be false

That's unfortunate to hear. I've never been a fan of either of them, but I hate to hear that their age is catching up with them. I knew that Byrd had been having problems for awhile and that Kennedy had had previous health issues. I just didn't think that it had gotten so bad.

It turns out that it was only Senator Kennedy has collapsed and that Byrd is fine, it was just a rumor. It is still an unfortunate event, especially with Kennedy's brain tumor removal he had a bit back.

It was a very scary moment and I really hope that Ted Kennedy is ok. He has done so much for this country and it would be a shame if something happened to him.

They should have stayed home, if they were in bad health. Kinda ruined the situation there.
