This sort of reminds me of FEMA. Everyone wants to cut it's budget until their neighborhood gets hit, then they scream and cry the government is not protecting them.

I don't think it would make an iota of difference, we tend to focus on hurricane or storm responses and giving thanks to Presidents afterwards if that President is a Democrat that is.

People don't prepare for these storms, 36 hours or three weeks makes no difference.

Scare tactics common these days.

Not sure what is worse- sensationalists or conspiracy theorists... (definitely a combo of the two is bad though)
