To you, what does it mean? Do you have it have you lost it. How did it happen? Elaborate.

Love is the understanding someone else has become a requirement for happiness.

It's a bunch of neurons firing at once, a flood of chemicals thru your body and a fever.

I don't get why people get so poetic over emotions, just call it what it is and life will be simpler.

psst...aufgablassen...you are doing it again.

my definition:

love is caring, considering, and yearning the best for a person more than you do for yourself.

note: much of this is behavioral driven. I take issue with people who speak of "loving" someone without actions to back it up.

that is sad. in my humble opinion, this definition falls short and is probably more like the answer to "what is lust?" or "what is attraction?". it can occur entirely in the brain without any meaningful action to back it up; or can even have malevolent action that follows. For example, I imagine a rapist or child molester or teenage boy looking at porn could have "a bunch of neurons firing at once, a flood of chemicals thru your body and a fever"; but I would not define their outcome behavior as "love".

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I do as well, love is not a feeling inside ones own head it is A promise that is backed up by actions.

That's not 'love', that's loyalty, honor and friendship. It has nothing to do with the emotion of love (though the 2 often coincide) and would be better described as nobility.

I don't agree that it's an emotion. I think it's the combination of loyalty honor and friendship.

A friend is someone you have an emotional attachment to; you would do things for them that you wouldn't normally do for strangers.
Am emotion isn't someone you have an emotional attachment to; you would do things for them that you wouldn't normally do for strangers

So it isn't an emotion.

So common among homophobes, they think gay people are just sex crazed maniacs.

It is highly likely my level of sexual exploit would be considered depraved by this one....but's that's okay because we are married and hetero.

Not me, since I am not.
You most certainly are. You may lie to yourself but I am not going to believe you.

But I believe "bi"s are though. :p
Based on what?

Technically I am bisexual and I have had sex with three people in my life and never cheated on one of them. Don't knowthat makes me sex crazed.

Meh, sex to me is merely a side dish, or an expression of love. It's completelydependant upon love for me.

Look up synonyms for each word, and I have no doubt you will find there is no connection between the two.
What ever you use to deny your himophobia likely isn't a synonym, that wouldn't be denying it.

You are as bad as the race baiters throwing the around the "R" word & playing the "race card". Totally ridiculous. One can "cry wolf" only so many times.
Except what I am saying isn't crying wolf it's called stating what is evident.

You are as bad as the westboro Baptist church, pathetically trying to cover your homophobia with false disgust.

It's just sad.
