I should probably remind you at this point that I did not vote for Trump or Hilary and did not believe either are worthy of my vote for president. However, other than his language, I have no serious disagreement with his actions so far. If and when I see these "inevitable" disasters, I will react accordingly.

However, I see you are your old self. You continue to provide no meaningful dialog, just insults.
You really:

After Hitler brought disaster to Germany, you could not find any Germans who admitted to supporting him.

To a lesser degree, we saw the same thing happen to all those Useful Idiots who supported Bush's invasion of Iraq.

The same thing will happen after Trump wreaks his havoc on the USA and the world.

No, I do not excuse you.

It should be obvious to anyone with half a brain that the slimy presidential Mafioso will bring disaster.

Request you provide a list of those world events which you have correctly forecast along with the proof that you did make those forecasts.

Back in the late '70s I knew that the Soviet Union would collapse in the next decade or two.

You would not believe the flack and mockery I got from the anthropoids of normal limited intelligence who think they know something. It was obvious (to them) that such a vast powerful state would not fall from internal contradictions!

Naturally, (as is usually the case) after the Soviet collapse, those who mocked me the most said that they knew all the time that it would happen!--

No proof that you made any such prediction.

However, I will explain why your dire predictions will not happen.

1. Trump has a low approval rating. He will not get the needed support from the people.

2. We have three branches of government which act as checks and balances. Already Trump has been blocked on a number of issues by the courts and legislature.

3. We have a civilian secretary of defense along with civilian branch chiefs. I realize the secretary of defense is a former military general. However, he has been willing to speak up in opposition to Trump.

4. We have a military which will oppose dictatorial actions by the president. That military swore to uphold the constitution, not the president and they, like me, take that oath very seriously.

5. Finally, we have a well armed civilian population which will oppose the president in the event that he oversteps his authority to the extent that such action is needed. It is very doubtful that the military would take up arms against that civilian population.

6. In short, I have faith in our system.

Hitler and GW Bush had low approval ratings --- at first. The Oligarchs can easily manufacture crises and hysteria that will drive the Sheeple in any direction desired.

2. We have three branches of government which act as checks and balances. Already Trump has been blocked on a number of issues by the courts and legislature.
Trump is packing the courts with his own people as fast as he can. The courts are the Achilles' Heel of the state. Once their decisions can be controlled, the checks and balances are gone. That is what Hitler did as his first major action to take control of Germany.

3. We have a civilian secretary of defense along with civilian branch chiefs. I realize the secretary of defense is a former military general. However, he has been willing to speak up in opposition to Trump.
Look at my signature line

The upper levels of the military are time-servers who will lick any ass to maintain their perks. Just read Colin Powell's autobiography. Moreover, just as Hitler built up the Storm Troopers to protect himself from the power of the regular military, so have the Oligarchs built up the private, well-paid mercenary troops to handle what the regular military might balk at.

5. Finally, we have a well armed civilian population which will oppose the president in the event that he oversteps his authority to the extent that such action is needed. It is very doubtful that the military would take up arms against that civilian population.
Oh, the wonderful civilian militias with their popguns against a regular army! How well they did in Belgium against the German army in World War I !! ---

6. In short, I have faith in our system.
You have no idea how pathetic that statement looks to me

I am looking at it with first hand knowledge. Not from a bunch of anit-US books quoted by someone who hates the US to start with.

My relatives in Canada mostly speak three languages and are highly educated but don't spend their time trying to prove they are superior to everyone else. My relatives in the 'States have disappeared into the regimented masses, the way people do.

And yet here we have numan spending much of his time trying to convince us how superior Canada is. Ironic, isn't it, that the survey he endorsed to show the superiority of Canada is so favorable towards the US? It contradicts just about everything you and numan have to say.

None of my three kids have "disappeared". They all live unique (from each other) and fascinating lives; the oldest (37) is a software architect for Amazon in Portland, OR (he used to work for HP), middle son (34) is a police investigative officer, and lives next door to us in Ft. Pierce, FL, and our youngest (25) in Hollywood, CA area is in movie, music video, and TV commercial production business, owning his own lighting & electrical grip company.

No loafers in my family!

They call it the "Melting Pot", but the most notable thing that melts seems to be their brains.

Why not devote all your time to them for a decade or two? :)
