Donald Trump and Debates

Why do people think that debates should be moderated by these liberal anchors from the leftwing media, who's only interest is to ultimately see the GOP lose? I'd rather see a successful Republican businessman like Donald Trump moderate a debate than some liberal from CBS, ABC or NBC. In my opinion, anyone who thinks Trump should not moderate a debate is not dealing in reality. In fact, no Republican should ever again agree to a debate moderated by some lame-stream news anchor, when we all know that their ultimate goal is for the Repuiblicans to lose.

Seriously folks, every four years we lament that our candidates have to be subjected to twisted gottcha questions from liberal idiots in the lame-stream media. Why do we continue to do it? Thats why Mike Huckabee's debate/forum was such a breath of fresh air, and why I think the debate with Trump will be great too. People keep calling Trump a blowhard and a joke. Oh really? Are there any bigger blowhards and jokes thatn Anderson Cooper, Brian Wilson, Scott Pelley, Katie Couric, and the rest of their ilk? Since when did they get crowned as the kings and queens of debate moderation? I'll take Donald Trump over any of those idiots any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

I know you Lefties won't agree with this post, but the Republicans here should.

Santorum: Trump Will Be Better Debate Host Than Most Journalists
Tuesday, 06 Dec 2011 01:18 PM - By Martin Gould

Donald Trump will be a better debate host than many of the journalists the mainstream media have put up as moderators, Republican candidate Rick Santorum said Tuesday.

The real-estate tycoon, who is hosting the Newsmax ION Television 2012 Presidential Debate in Iowa on Dec. 27, will do better than the media personalities who have tried to turn the spotlight on themselves rather than the candidates and the issues in GOP debate so far, the former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania said.

“Look and see who some of the mainstream media has put up,” Santorum told radio host Steve Malzberg. “Brian Williams I wasn’t comfortable with, and I had every right not to be, given the questions he asked — and Charlie Rose.

“You go down the list of all the people they’ve had, these reporters who have tried to make this debate about them and not about the candidates and what they believe in, and rearranging time to make sure the people that they wanted to have time, get time.........<SNIP>

I am sorry, but this Republican thinks Donald Trump is just promoting his brand. I don't like the "news" people either. But Trump made a joke of himself when he dabbled at running for president. He will do or say anything to keep himself in the mix. I have always kind of liked Santorum, I am surprised he fell for Trump's ego booster.

And you don't think that CNN, CBS, ABC and NBC are promoting their brand when they host debates? They do it for ratings and thus for money, not out of the goodness of theit hearts.

But they are not running for president! Trump did and I am not sure will not get in again in the next few months. All Trump can do is hurt your man Newt. Because Trump made a clown out of himself when he tested the water. But maybe Trump wants to do a Republican " Infomercial"! You can bet there is something in it for him.;)

How many times has he gone bankrupt?
Bankruptcy is a business decision. At times, it can be the right one and a smart one- declaring bankruptcy does not show one is a bad businessperson. All depends on how the numbers are played.

Fox News analyst and conservative author Dick Morris says Mitt Romney must reconsider his decision not to attend the Newsmax ION Television 2012 Presidential Debate, and urges all major candidates to join the debate.

“I think he is being foolish for saying no,” Morris told Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly Wednesday night. “I think that Romney should go. I think he will go.”..........<SNIP>
