Anyone really expect anything else? The buffoon says he's running for re-election in 2020. Does he really expect to win?

Florida’s state Senate on Wednesday voted to uphold the suspension of former Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, officially removing him from office.
Governor Ron DeSantis suspended Israel in January, saying his incompetence led to poor response from his deputies during the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland.
“My first thoughts are with the families and the friends who lost loved ones on that horrific February 14th day,” Israel told WPBF 25 News, shortly after the Senate voted.
Israel also said he’s tremendously saddened by the vote, saying law enforcement has been fundamentally changed in Florida.
“The office of sheriff was once accountable to the people and the law, and it’s now subject to the political whims, political paybacks, the personal piques of partisan tyrants in Tallahassee,” he said.
Reaction from families in Parkland, though, was much different.
People there were applauding the decision.
“I’m just so excited right now,” said Lori Alhadeff. Her daughter, Alyssa, was killed during the shooting. “The Senate did the right thing to hold Mr. Israel accountable.”
“All the families were united in not wanting Mr. Israel to return to his post,” said Tony Montaldo, who lost his daughter, Gina, in the shooting.
Israel said he understands the families’ reaction.
“I would never push back on a loved one who lost a child or friend or neighbor,” he said.
But Israel also said he still believes he should be the sheriff of Broward County.
“To take the vote away from a Broward County voter, it’s absolutely unacceptable,” he said. “It’s egregious.”
Israel said he plans to run for sheriff again in 2020.
He said he will start campaigning on Thursday.
