numan protested the Vietnam war and eventually fled to stay in Canada. The experience was apparently very traumatizing for him as nearly every post he makes here has something to do about the evil of America.
Either that, or he took Aerosmith's tune "Eat the Rich" literally, and has indigestion to this day! :giggle:

The tune was meant to be "tongue-in-cheek":

I served a year in Vietnam. I did not particularly want to go, but I was career Air Force and I served. I am proud of that year and am glad I went. I could say a lot more, but I will let it go at that.
It took courage to go, and much more courage to refuse to go. What are we to make, however, of those many Republicans who pretended to be ill? Thank God, they were diplomatic here, didn't want trouble. When I told them I regarded the occupation of Cyprus as a dirty colonialist war and would refuse to go, they taught me Chinese instead. British compromise works, ok?

I must have missed that Military War Machine Conspiracy while working for Lockheed Martin in 2003. However, it is long leap from that to characterizing all Americans as egotistical barbarians.
You didn't miss it, you were a part of it --- though no doubt only a tiny cog in the satanic juggernaut.

Where have I ever written that ALL Americans are egotistical barbarians? Obviously, some are not.

Just look at me. ---

I will never understand how a person could hate so much.
I am reminded of what Mrs. Frances Trollope (the mother of the novelist) wrote in her 1830 classic, The Domestic Manners of the Americans:

"A single word indicative of doubt, that any thing, or every
thing, in that country is not the very best in the world,
produces an effect which must be seen and felt to be understood.
If the citizens of the United States were indeed the devoted
patriots they call themselves, they would surely not thus encrust
themselves in the hard, dry, stubborn persuasion, that they are
the first and best of the human race, that nothing is to be
learnt, but what they are able to teach, and that nothing is
worth having, which they do not possess.

The art of man could hardly discover a more effectual antidote to
improvement, than this persuasion; and yet I never listened to
any public oration, or read any work, professedly addressed to
the country, in which they did not labour to impress it on the
minds of the people."

The great trick is to be someone the thieves can't do without and to have a very strong union. Licking arses is something every peasant can do, so why bother?

I worked on a number of NASA programs while at Lockheed Martin. Specifically which one of those was a "satanic juggernaut". As usual, you are talking about something with no actual knowledge of the subject.

He probably meant ones like those I worked on that launched satellites that identified identified terrorist targets for drone strikes, to make the WORLD a safer place .
