And what about "culturally acceptable" murder. Take the examples from the butthole of the world, Pakistan:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...badeea-12c6-11e6-a9b5-bf703a5a7191_story.html

According to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, 8,694 girls and women have died in so-called honor killings here between 2004 and 2015. Those crimes involved revenge killings for dishonoring a family, village or local custom.
On Sunday, Punjab police arrested a man and charged him with killing his wife, who was seven months pregnant, the Express Tribune newspaper reported. Using a club, the man apparently beat the woman to death after she refused to allow him to take a second wife.

Also in Punjab over the weekend, a man tossed acid onto a 37-year-old woman, resulting in burns over 30 percent of her body. Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper reported that the woman’s nephew is the main suspect. The man apparently wanted to marry one of the woman’s daughters – his cousin — but was refused.

Islam can most certainly be termed as "Evil", unless you are Muslim. Thus the term is not a useful description.

You mean "extremist Islam" (just like extremist Christians could be called evil).

Millions of Muslims go thru their lives w/o perpetrating evil deeds.

islam is extreme.

an extreme muslim wants to cut off your head; a moderate muslim wants an extreme muslim to cut off your head.

I'm highly confident that in the U.S.A., the number of Muslims that say violence could NEVER be justified is MUCH higher than in Europe.

When I was in undergrad I took a world religions class, and we had a muslim cleric come and talk about the virtues of islam. During this time there were a number of suicide bombings going on in Israel . I asked him if he felt suicide bombings were justified. his answer was an emphatic "Yes!"

When I asked, what about all the loss of innocent life, he answered, "Who is innocent!?"

His face got red and he seemed pretty hostile after that. needless to say, I don't think he made any converts in our class that day.

After 9-11, I was driving by a college and I saw dozens of arab students giving each other the peace sign. it didn't dawn on me that it wasn't a peace sign but a victory sign, until that night on the news, I saw this going on throughout muslim nations around the world, celebrating their collective muslim victory of 9-11.

Both sides are WRONG in their behavior in the Israeli situation, in turn making both sides effectively "justified". A catch-22 situation.
Are you saying a Palestinian walking on a bus and blowing himself up along with men, women and children who never did anything to him are justified?

or are you just trolling here?

I just copied and pasted the url. it is upsetting the genocide that is occurring with these yazidi peoples. women and children used as sex slaves. burning people alive, crucifying people.

all in the name of evil islam.
All in the name of an evil god. Outside the West, Christians are just as bad.

One can still be an atheist or liberal while observing honest differences. it's critical thinking.

imagine a scientist studying chemicals, diseases, or language and sweeping all the nuances of difference under the rug for the sake of some false equality.

The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal."

And yet it's nothing but bad news coming out of Russia and Africa when it comes to Christians. Just because a fact is inconvenient doesn't change anything.

When you say "bad news...when it comes to Christians." Do you mean because radical muslims are coming for them?

As Russia deepens its involvement in Syria, it risks more than a military quagmire. Its intervention exacerbates a growing domestic threat, one that could destabilize the whole country. A new brand of radical Islam is rising in Russia, fueled by Russian fighters eager to perpetrate acts of terror at home.

Boko Haram (literally translated as “Western Education is a Sin”) is a genocidal criminal movement led by an Islamist extremist, Abubakar Shekau, who has vowed to destroy every Christian school in Nigeria, and to carry out terrorist attacks on Nigerian government police and government officials. It kidnapped over 200 girls from a Christian school in April 2014 and despite the Nigerian government’s efforts, none have been found. In 2014, Boko Haram killed an estimated 2,000 people in its jihad to expand its self-declared Islamic caliphate in northern Nigeria, an area with a heavy Muslim population.

On January 7, 2015, Boko Haram killed 2,000 Nigerian civilians by burning down the town of Baga in the north-eastern state of Borno. Boko Haram has sworn allegiance to ISIS, the so called “Islamic State” in Syria and Iraq, and is copying ISIS tactics of random brutality. Boko Haram has attacked villages in Cameroon, Chad, and Niger, as well as in Nigeria. Boko Haram may control up to six times more territory than ISIS.

Boko Haram, whose Arabic name, Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad, means “People Committed to the Propagation of the Prophet’s Teachings and Jihad” was founded in 2002 by Mohammed Yusuf in order to oppose Western education. Its objective has expanded to create an Islamic state in Nigeria. While it was not violent at first, it changed in 2009 when some of its members were arrested, which sparked a riot as well as an armed clash with the Nigerian Army that killed 800 people. In the wake of the 2009 riots, Boko Haram turned horribly violent. To fund its operations, Boko Haram began robbing banks, stealing cash to buy heavy weapons.

No, I'm talking about the beatings in Russia and ethnic/sectarian cleansing in Africa. Don't act as if calling out militant Christians is somehow a defence of militant Muslims. That's a favorite strategy of Christian apologists and it doesn't work on me.
