1. Donald Trump and his supporters have blasted Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib for calling the president a “m**********r” last week, but back in 2011, Trump himself used the term to describe the Chinese.

2. Chinese tourists accounted for about a quarter of all visitors to the U.S. from Asia. Last year, about 3 million tourists traveled from China to the U.S., according to Commerce Department data. Barnes said Chinese tourists stay an average of 18 nights and spend an average of almost $7,000 per trip, which is about 50% more than the average international traveler to the U.S.

That's why Chinese tourism has been a boon to the U.S. services industry. In fact, Barnes said, the money spent in the United States by tourists is considered a U.S. export, offsetting the trade deficit between the U.S. and China.

3. Instead of thanking Chinese tourists for offsetting the US trade deficits, the US law enforcement agencies are subjecting them to insult, humiliation and harassment, interrogating them like criminals, including immigration checks and home visits.

Once in the US, Chinese tourists are exposed to Donald Trump's habitual obscenities in public rallies, television, radio, newspapers, journals and other media. What would be the consequences to the Chinese society if Chinese tourists get into the habit of uttering obscenities like Trump, especially in front of their children and whoever else is there? Are such obscenities the so-called American values and Trump's legacy to America and the world?

It's the economy, nincompoop! The US has been complaining about its trade deficit with China all this while. In actuality, it has a trade surplus with China, thanks to Chinese tourists and students.

It's high time for China to correct its trade imbalance with Uncle Sam by halting all group tours to America. China should also discourage its citizens from studying in US universities, especially those American for-profit education companies like the defunct Trump University which told its recruiters to play on shame, exploit aspirations, and overcome customer objections, by telling prospective students: “do you like living paycheck to paycheck? ... Do you enjoy seeing everyone else but yourself in their dream houses and driving their dreams cars with huge checking accounts? Those people saw an opportunity, and didn’t make excuses, like what you’re doing now.”
