Okay I would just like to say that I thought the Opening Ceremony this year was HORRIBLE! It might just be because Beijing was so amazingly incredible....But I was just really unimpressed this year....What does everybody else think?

I agree, it looked like they tried to take the same approach as the Chinese, but it didn't work very well. Too many wires could be seen, and the "mountains" in the middle of the stadium looked like giant sheets. There were some good ideas, having the audience wear those white cloaks and using them to project the background was a good idea.

I personally liked the opening ceremony and while it may not have been the best ever, I usually like all of the opening ceremonies because they are still good in my opinion.
China spent well over $100 million dollars on their opening ceremony...Canada spent $38 million....I didn't like the tap dancing, or the flying kid....I liked the whales though....but it just seemed really boring...
