DETROIT ? Nine alleged members of a Christian militia group that was girding for battle with the Antichrist were charged Monday with plotting to kill a police officer and slaughter scores more by bombing the funeral ? all in hopes of touching off an uprising against the U.S. government?.

FBI agents moved quickly against Hutaree because its members were planning an attack sometime in April, prosecutors said. Authorities seized guns in the raids but would not say whether they found explosives.

The arrests have dealt "a severe blow to a dangerous organization that today stands accused of conspiring to levy war against the United States," Attorney General Eric Holder said.

Authorities said the arrests underscored the dangers of homegrown right-wing extremism of the sort seen in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people?.

There are crazy people on both sides. Thankfully, the core ideologies of both sides do not support such behavior. Frankly this says nothing about the right, left, or the presidency other than that radicals exist.

I think it's funny how the right wing religious extremist are associated with the conservatives, and the left wing anarchists are associated with the left. When in today's society religion is not mainstream (a.k.a.) liberal, and individual freedom (a.k.a.) anarchy is. Don't get me wrong, I believe in accountability. It's weird to me. You should read my post more analytically. I am no more religious then I am a atheist.
I am a constitutionalists! A believer in a law based society, based on logic.

No, SpayAndNeuterLibs has a good point. Not all conservatives are right wing extremists. But they seem to get coloured by it when people who analyze the right wing extremists just lump all conservatives in with them. For example, most people in the Republican party are conservative, and I would say the majority of them are not right wing extremists. They are also fighting to keep a health distance from right wing extremists.

They are only associated when people try to collectivize groups for political reasons. In reality extremists on either side do not accurately reflect either side. Besides, there are right and left anarchists and right and left statists.
