Philippine National Election 2010

Last Monday, May, 10, 2010, is the day where Filipinos do their right to vote for the next leaders of the country for the next 6 years. This is also the first automated election held in the Philippines.

Currently leading in the poll is Former and Late President Cory Aquino's son, Benigno Aquino III. Behind him is Former and ousted President Joseph Estrada. The current deficit is over 5 million votes.

Anyone here who is following the polls?

The Filipino politician believe that they are the only one's who are intelligent.
It's so frustrating that most Filipinos still have the "ningas kugon"(only good at first) mentality. Wake up guys!!!

They fight Muslims daily. Can you blame them? I think when the little civil war they have going ends, you'll see a change.

I personally think that this could bring a nice change in their lives. I didn't blame them for the civil wars.

Well, not really daily. But those so called Muslims are from a group that is considered as a terrorist group. The government just want to protect its people.

I don't know. I have a Filipino friend that has family on both sides and it seems that it's more of a cultural divide then a terrorism vs. peace situation from what he says. He does seem to lack respect for the rebels but as a Catholic, I think he's a bit biased. :giggle:

In the recent news, there have been some terrorist groups that's raging terror in the Mindanao region by bombing highly populated places. I can't really tell if it's a war between religions.
