I think, about all friends, the first time you saw them they are all stranger for you because you do not know anything about them. What are you philosophies about this one?

Belief is the one that should be honed in us thoroughly. If we do not believe in others, then everything around us seem with skepticism attached to it.

Strangers are all potential friends. ;)

That's not to say that I could befriend any single individual. To an extent, we would both need to share certain things in common - or own certain attributes, and make a connection.

Every friend is once upon a time a 'stranger'. Is this not true? In that case it is the stranger who becomes our friend at all times.

We all start out as strangers. Although, there are always distinct connections that can be made between two strangers which can ignite friendship. These connections will always vary from person to person. i.e. A sports fan may befriend a person reading a sports magazine.

You meant to say that people who have same thinking would be good friends? If that is the case than I think you are probably wrong!

It is not the case. People of different thinking can also be friends but they start as strangers to each other.

It is definitely not a desirable attitude. What good it makes? Is that person coming down to your place to solve your problem, or do you think he is sincerely trying to find solutions. A strager is a stranger and I would not do such a thing. I do not wish to tell anything about me or my family to a stranger in my city or stranger found in the net.

when we are born everyone is stranger to us, but then its our sub-conscious which tells us.. that we have relations, we are here to make new relations, and friendship is one of the very important relation .. no matter how stranger people may seem to us for the first time we talk to them, later we get close and share a valuable time together:)

I have only ever had one true friend and he died back in the 90s. But as plain old everyday friends go, I get them from the stranger group mostly.:p

I'm an outgoing person so making new friends is not an issue. Of course only few will stick, but in the end my best friends we once people I didn't know.

friends can be tested, when you are with him on a journey!!

Friends are always stranger when you met them they became your friends!!

Take example of your school, college, and university or friend in office!!! they all are strangers in the initial stage but later, with passing time, they became your best friends!!

Late Chicago columnist Mike Royko wrote that most so called friends are situational. They are together because of work, local or organizations. Most of them are more allies than friends, and when the situation changes, they drift away because the emotional connection was less than it appeared. He wrote if during your life you can count the number of true friends on the fingers of one hand, you are very lucky.

Ha Ha! Dodge FB. That applies to relatives too.
True. I love most of my family, but.............I don't want to see any of them everyday. I don't want friends or family inviting themselves over on a whim. I want to see all of them once in a while. But not all at once.

I actually lock my doors during the day as much to keep people from just walking in as to prevent theft.

We're lucky that way. Our nearest neighbor lives nearly two miles away, and our county has only five electric traffic lights.
