Barney Frank, one of the worst leftwingers in congress, is not running for re-election next term, because he says he's the victim of state redistricting. Frank, head of the financial services subcommittee during the Bush years, was warned repeatedly and with growing urgency by both John McCain and Bush administration officials that the flood of subprime loans underwritten by Fanny Mae was unsustainable and was causing a housing bubble. Of course, he just brushed them off. Tonight on See BS, lib anchor Scott Pelley, giving the usual butt-kissing "report" of one lib about another lib, identified him only as the person who put new restraints on banks after the crash, ignoring his role in causing it.

WORSE news: Maxine Waters, probably the worst single member of congress, is taking over as ranking member!

Frank and his cronies are the REAL people who are responsible for what everyone blames Bush for: The housing and economic collapse.

nether Barney Frank nor Bush can be blamed for that . put the blame where it is deserved , the idea to make CDOs out of mortgages . this practice should be banned by law . it is a cocaine .

You're usual lazy habit of blaming everyone, implicitly equally, doesn't hold water. The faut goes back to the democrat congress that passed the "communnity reinvestment act", and bill clinton's appointment of the corrupt franklin raines to head fanny mae, and facilitate the cranking out of huge numbers of mortgages to unqualified borrowers - without those two root causes, the bubble and collapse would have never happened. Of course, you're just brushing past Bush's warnings to barney frank to rein in fanny mae. When a fact doesn't fit you simple-minded take, toss it down a black hole. :rolleyes:
