Rick Perry Disaster

I heard an interview being given by Rick in which he came off looking very stupid and unintelligent. I said to myself this guy is nothing more than another George Bush.

Sadly enough, despite his limited intelligence, George Bush was able to win the presidency. And this shows that Rick Perry also had a chance if he had stayed in the race. Thank God that Mitt was by far a better candidate, and took enough of Rick's support to kill his candidacy.

I would say at this stage it is still unknown just how intelligent, or unintelligent, Gingrich is. But it seems that Mitt is by far the best choice to run against the president in the upcoming election, even though I hope he loses.

Romney and Gingrich both seem to me as rather stable and good enough candidates to conquer the White House in January 2013. Hopefully one of them will have the chance to do exactly that.

Gingrinch is too fat and stupid. Did you not read my post above?

The man even wants a permanent base to be built on the moon! If that is not the stupidest biggest dumb ass promise made during a presidential election, then I don't know what is.

I think America is in decline, largely because of an unwillingness to more evenly distribute the nations wealth. The Occupation movement was on to something, but they were ineffective. They should have tried going after the banks, and individuals like CEO's. Fighting the police wasn't the way to make their point.

Just who should distribute the wealth? I would guess I have less than most people on this board. So who has the right take something from others and give it to me? That would just legal theft in my book. I believe people need to play the hand they are dealt.

I disagree. I think it is more that it is a combination of a couple things- some natural (i.e. the Great Stagnation), others distorted because of a tax system and incentives system that could both be a lot more effective.

The skewing of wealth distribution (which is in itself often misunderstood- it is not so much 1% vs. 99% but instead something more like .001 or whatever percent vs. the rest- some of the .001 still being legit, but most of them getting there because of an overly powerful financial sector that is backed by government) has been helped by these things but it is merely a side effect not a cause.

I must have missed the part about fat.

We all promise too much sometimes, I take it with a pinch of salt to be fair, but doesn't make him a worse candidate, he's got a lot of good policies.

Actually, Gingrich has been around for quite a while. He won a seat in the House of Representatives in 1978, he became Minority Whip in 1989, and then Speaker of the House in 1995. That's almost 35 years of political exposure at the national level. This is more than enough time for us to have evaluated Gingrich's intelligence.

And I would say that although the man has made some abysmally stupid decisions in his life, I would call them above-average intelligent - if you recognize that he is driven by a thirst for power above anything else.

I see no justice in a 60 year old working at McDonalds doing hard labour for a whole year, while a fat ****ing pin head CEO makes as just much in a single day.

You really have to ask yourself, is anyone worth a $250 million per annum salary? I think the answer is a resounding no. Accordingly their should be a ceiling on people's wealth - or at the very least a decent tax rate on the rich to achieve the Robin Hood effect.

We have people who have degrees living in tents in the USA. We have ****ing wealthy fat cats worth billions who give little or nothing back to the society in which they live and have benefitted so much. These are the hallmarks that led to the French revolution.

There is the part I have a problem with. They may not be worth $250 million a year. But they know something we don't to make that much.
And "ceiling on people's wealth" is just wrong as well as not the American way. I am all for helping people move forward. But I never want to hold anyone back.

But then I am not jealous of other peoples wealth.
