A couple of days late, but the Fed announced this week that they will begin a third round of treasury purchases in order to reduce interest rates further. This comes after a lot of criticism from economists (especially in the blogosphere), but it comes at a very trying time politically.

I have my opinions on this as I usually do with such topics, but before I share them, what do you guys think?
