You Mitt Romney supporters are something else...You do know that as soon as the warmonger gets in office that he will start a war with Iran right? And you also know that Russia has warned the U.S. not to interfere with Iran and their nuclear power? Taking those 2 things into consideration...now who you going to vote for? I know many people that live near those areas, they said a very different thing happened than what our tabloids reported (tabloids meaning associated press) but then again they are government lapdogs. But live in the bliss if you choose. You can mock me all you wish. I know who is who.
Words have meanings. A coup is a military uprising. Libya is now under civilian rule and Egypt's military took over only after the revolution and has sense been deposed by the president (a civilian). Syria is at it's core a popular uprising but the military rather then armed civilians is doing all the fighting so it's not as clear cut.
So soldiers killing people is less peaceful than civilians killing people?

They are embassy guards and operations staff. they are diplomatic. Also UN troops.

We have military bases in those countries (along with all the other assets you brought up). Iraq is no different. We have no combat operations going on. All combat units and most trainers have been recalled, a token force to round off the Iraqi Army's training and a few outposts to aid in power projection (as is the case in Europe and the Far East) is all that's left. It's not a war, it's not an occupation. Afghanistan is another matter but we're drawing down there as well.
We dont need any military presence in iraq. Or any other country for that matter. we should have no involvement in afganistan what so ever.
