This is a similar notion to that of non competitive sports in schools. ie the children participate to have fun and benefit from exercise.
Unfortunately that doesnt prepare children for the competition they will face in later life and how to deal with coming 2nd 3rd or last.

I disagree. This is more about stereotypes than competition. A boy who plays with dolls or a girl who plays with legos isn't necessarily going to have a competitive disadvantage because of it.
What does breaking stereotypes have to do with one's sexual preference?
Also, I actually got this from a tweet by Betsey Stevenson (who in the tweet said she wish she could send her kid there too), so clearly your last sentence is untrue.
Can you ask a question that isn't self-evidently dumb? At this age, all children know about male-female relationships is what they're taught.
You haven't established that Betsey Stevenson is a loving parent, or that she actually would send her children to such a school. So, you've got nothing.
If you want to argue that Betsey Stevenson is a no-good, worthless liberal, I won't dispute you. (She is an unwed mother of one, but in the pictures of her daughter that I've seen, her daughter is dressed like a girl, not unisex.)
Show me the study that shows allowing boys to play with dolls, etc. leads to gay or bisexual men. Otherwise it is your just your intuition and that doesn't hold any water in the realm of science.

Um, she is effectively married (not that that really matters). But I won't address your character attacks- that says a lot more about you than her or my argument. I also assume you haven't read her work or know much about her. And no one is saying we should cross-dress kids... (although inherently should an individual want to cross-dress, there is nothing wrong with that)

Children have to learn about life and by removing competition they fail to learn how to cope with losing or how to be generous in spirit as a winner.
Why is calling a girl a girl and a boy a boy encouraging stereotypes for after all, that is what they are. A small female is a girl and a small male is a boy.
You will find that all children will enjoy playing with Lego and dolls just as they will all enjoy painting or swimming.
Any school worth its salt will encourage the fact that any child can grow up to follow a career of their choice. Likewise parents can do the same.
Think about it, today we have men and women sharing the same careers do we not yet they grew up as 'boys' and 'girls'.
I suppose the boy/girl label is arguable, but I think the point is that you put LESS emphasis on the boy vs. girl part compared to the current norm. You don't completely ignore it (at least I would hope not). That is what I took from the little I've read on their philosophy.
Sweden is a homogeneous society and gender discrimination is the biggest issue while other Western nations are obsessed with racial equality and the gender neutral policy at the preschool is aimed at instilling egalitarian values in the minds of preschoolers and it's similar to the introduction of Ms. by the women's movement in the 1950s.
Good points on the demographic differences- I think it is an area that is often overlooked in discussions like these.
