Lavrov: Patriot missile deployment in Turkey will lead to further regional destabilization
The Russian Foreign Ministry has expressed strong reservations after Ankara said it would request that NATO deploy Patriot missiles along the Turkey-Syria border.

İs this deployment a sign of international intervention to Syria or maybe for İran ? Because clearly I don't believe that Turkey was planning such a thing.

Since Syria and Iran are in cahoots, I think Turkey is probably very wary about potential border incursions and stray shells, etc. Having the missile defense shield in the country will hopefully prevent Iran from attaining regional domination - which is, of course, under threat from the anti-Assad fighters anyway.

I don't think stray shellings etc are the main and sole reason of this move. İran poses no particular danger to Turkey today or it's danger no different than yesterday. But I agree this will be disturbing for İran too. Also that can be thought as protection for a possıble no-fly zone over Syria in the near future.

Indeed, but I was thinking more that because Iran is supporting the Assad regime, and is a key player in Iran's regional control, Turkey is keen to intimidate Iran, in order to assert security over its own borders. For example, get the Iranians to withdraw their Revolutionary Guards from Syria.

I would hope you are correct, as the more pressure Iran faces the better for our world. I have a friend in Turkey, she sees Iran as a real threat to her life, more so than Syria.

These threats aren't realistic in fact except a possıble nuclear presence of İran. The source of tensions between İran and Turkey is a part of ME's sectarian conflict and not related to people's life or political regime, I mean it isn't a dispute between laic Turkish people and theocratic İran's administration, on the contrary it's between religious people from both side. The two will be incompatible with each other in anycase until the rebirth of ME or something like this. So, religious people more concerned with İran and wiling to put pressure on the country while other people and laic main opposition sugessting to be in cahoots with İran against terrorism and regional issues.

We need to also consider Turkey's own ambitions. supporting the revolution, being friendly with Iraq and getting nasty with Israel are all calculated moves to bring Mesopotamia back into Turkish influence.

Maybe Turkey's failed ambitions. I wonder what made you think that Turkey is friendly with Iraq? They have attempted to arrest foreign minister of Turkey just a few week ago and called it's trade with northern Iraq as illegal. Beside, Iraq's former vice president who sentenced to death several times took refuge in Turkey. Despite the international agreements and interpol request, Turkey is refusing to give up him and just this week PM implied that Iraqi PM wants to be a dictator. And it goes on. Turkey and Iraq share such a chaotic relationship.When it comes to ME, all calculations are in vain. It's too simple place for complicated ambitions.
