Why I dislike Christmas.

Here is my short list:

1) Christ was not born on this day.
2) The stress of shopping.
3) Crazy Christians biatching about a war.
4) Financially terrible.
5) Obnoxious commercials.
6) E-mail Spam.
7) The stresses of Family Crap.
8) Loony Xmas displays keeping me up all night.
9) Being made to feel bad because I do not wish to play the "Merry Christmas" game.
10) The bills in January.

Ok I agree with one through three.

Though I am a Christian people who come up and say to me Christ was born on Christmas day make me laugh. I then have to say to them really how do you know were you there. At which point the think I am an atheist which makes me laugh harder. I then give them a brief history on Christmas and then follow up by telling them historians are not sure when Christ was born there are some guess as to the season but that varies also. So truly nobody knows.

I hate shopping being unemployed that falls on me for my children it sucks major rocks lmao.

If they complain about war I tell ask them were they for or against the war when it started. That usually shuts people up lol. If they don't I continue by asking the so let me get this straight you were for the war when it started. So you were pro empire building on our part but now you are against the war full well knowing as soon as we entered the war we would be over there for the long haul.

Four is iffy because financially is different we all have bad years and good years it just sucks when you are in a bad year which right now a lot of us are in.

Five I don't have cable I stream off the net most programs so I don't see many commercials. Even watching football live.

Six I have a good spam filter so I see maybe one spam a month lol so can't say it bothers me.

Seven there are always going to be stresses in family regardless of it a holiday or not it is all in how you handle them.

Eight I live in a quiet Neighborhood where people decorate but not like the Griswalds lmao.

Nine never played it so you are alone there lol. My kids make me feel bad about a lot of things though I never let them actually make me feel bad lmao. I turn it around and make them feel guilty for making me feel bad this usually works.

Ten Bills will always be there you only live once.

Christmas is not so bad I enjoy it and have since I was a kid. Shopping meh I can live without but will do if needed.

I enjoy Christmas...mostly

I like the idea of goodwill and friendship and all that side of things but its a pity it only lasts for a few days.
Christmas is as expensive as you make it really. I dislike the TV adverts for toys that are shown during childrens programmes because they dont realize what some things cost not how possible it would be for mum and dad to buy the thing. That then makes parents feel mean.
Certain family members can be very 'trying' and it can indeed be like walking of eggshells at times but even so, I enjoy our little christmas tree and hanging things on it including an 'angel' made by one of my children aged about 4. It has individual teeth drawn in and snarls at us throughout the Christmas season every year

I definitely enjoy Christmas because it is a time not only when you get gifts, but it also seems like everybody is happier and more friendly and giving around Christmas time. Christmas can also be a reminder to be thankful for what you already have.

Haha, I enjoyed that. But some might say your a Grinch sir! It's not about the presents and it's not about Jesus, at least not how I was raised. We were always spewing that it's better to be together in a time joy rather then exchanging things. I think it's interesting how many non Christians celebrate Christmas. (me)

I love everything that it stands for, i Love shopping for the perfect gift and watching your loved ones open it. I could do without the Commercials but i love the music. My boyfriend actually gets mad at me because i like to decorate the house and start to play Christmas music November 12. As you always have to show your respect to the veterans first. I believe that if you are being hit hard with bills in January from Christmas you are over spending and maybe should cut back next year. I never spend more than i have at that moment so that i never go in debt after the holidays. My boyfriend was laid off and was unable to find a job before the holidays so money was really tight. We were actually able hand make a bunch of gifts and our families loved them. Same with my sister she painted me a beautiful picture because she is a poor student hha. There is nothing better than a homemade from the heart gift.

If you don't let the stress get to you it can be a beautiful time of the year to spend with family and friends. It's not about the gift giving but about the quality time you share together as you never know what tomorrow will bring.

Christmas is a pagan celebration. This event was just covered pretty much by the Catholics who historically camouflaged such an event as the alleged birth of Christ, to both appease Christ believer's at the time and pagan followers who worship the sun god.
