The hypothesis is in no way related to this question "what is God" hypothetically you can not answer what something is if you can't even have a hypothetical that it dose even exist.

I don't know why you brought up theory, that confused me.

I wasn't proposing a hypothetical answer or frankly even an answer, just my opinion. That's all. I don't need a their or a hypothesis or anything.

Wait. Who said this is a philosophical question? God either exists or doesn't. If I asked, does the Boogeyman exist or does Santa Claus exist? - is that a philosophical question to you too? The answer is yes or no- it is fact based. Just because you don't know the answer to something does not make it philosophical.

Are you incapable of reading, the question isn't does God exist, it is what is God.

That is as philosophical as out gets.

What I did say is that the fact is that there is no conclusive proof for the existence or non-existence of God.

Then you have no business in this thread. Start another thread about the existence of God, that isn't what this thread is.

It depends on the question. If it is "does God exist"- then the answer is I don't know. If you say otherwise, you are either lying to yourself or others, don't understand the question, or maybe you are God or one of his sons or whatnot who knows something the rest of us don't.

If the question is "do you think God exists?" then say whatever you want- it is your opinion- I for one don't really care whether or not you think God exists.

Santa clause must exist, as an idea, an icon a decoration but as a true to folklore person, no. But you never made that stipulation.

Unless you wish to discuss on what level God exists but that requires a definition of what God is.

And clearly I am not the only one who thinks that given at least 3 others in this thread who have said you can't answer that question in that manner and the general basis for answering such truth-based questions.

I don't think of God as a physical being, more of an ideal. A supreme power, if you will, but not an actual person who exists living up on a cloud somewhere, watching over us. Believe he created us or whatever, but he's still an ideal. Spirit, if you will.

What is God??

To me God is someone we have to believe in, someone to talk to who will not judge you and who will always listen no matter how mad you are or how upset. He/She is always there and will never turn away from you!

I don't believe God has created the universe but i do believe that God is out there looking over everyone of us and waiting to lend an ear and help anyways he can.

Well God to me is God. He created the world we live in wrote the Bible I read and worship. Sent his son (or himself if you would) to wipe my slate clean of sin.

I believe because my faith is unbounding and I let no person crack my belief. I am married to a devout Atheist and she respects me for my faith. Though I think she is stubborn but hey I love her . Though her beliefs don't mess with my faith.

God is love, peace, caring, forgiving, compassionate.
