hmmm...that's a lot to chew. I didn't vote thinking about Gitmo at all. I wanted to make the choice based on the economy and who could get us through the hard times. The ideologies as you indicate are a front
The 'idealogies' that you call a front were a front in 2008 as well....but Obama launched into the Presidency promising to among other things, close the prison at Gitmo because it "violated our values." Of course you didn't vote with Gitmo in mind in 2012, Salty.....it was a "front" issue to begin with, those so upset in 2008 were in fact politically driven and disingenuous.
Consumers can affect their quality of life if they will engage. Or disengage as the case may be.
In short we can own this country.
We do own this country.
__And we don't have to buy their sh*t. __
Also next time we get into the war mood, we should see who's gonna pay for it. Ask for an itemized bill and oversee the contracts. We can do that by writing, posting, voting... If we need to marching or just visiting DC and giving the congress our views.
No you don't need to buy their sh*t. I'll always remember all the Occupiers on Wall Street referencing their iPhones to read and listen in on details of the death of Steve Jobs. They all applauded this capitalist...using the internet...some broadband AT&T....some apple product....all to oppose big corporation mentalities.
They're a big corporation.....Occupiers....becase many of you bought their sh*t. What lost little sheep.
Oh and btw Salty.....who pays when the war isn't fought? When a Hitler or other menace to society and peace is afforded leeway and patience, who pays when they've become nearly too large to stop? We came out of WW2 with a bigger enemy than we went in against and then proceeded on a multi-decade cold war costing trillions. And almost much more. Sometimes war is necessary.
