Twin Lakes Should Thank/Congratulate Zimmerman.

Maybe something is wrong, but something would be wrong also if criminals could go around attacking people and killing them, without those people having the means to defend themselves.

Correct. Who was Martin killing and/or attacking when Zimmerman violated Neighborhood Watch protocol and the advice of the 911 dispatcher to pursue Martin with his trusty 9mm?

1. We'll probably never know who Martin may have attacked, or whose apartment he may have burglarized.

2. Zimmerman did not violate the advice of the 911 dispatcher who only informed Zimmerman of what the police did not need. And after hearing the 911 dispatcher, Zimmerman said "OK" and then stopped following Martin.

3. Both the 911 dispatcher (if he was saying to not follow) and the NW protocol (if it was saying to not follow), violated the state of Florida policy regarding following suspects. That policy, clearly delineated in their licensing procedures for security, states that following is not only proper and correct, it is also required, since without it (regarding a mobile suspect), the Neighborhood Watch person would be failing in his mission to "Watch", while the suspect disappears from his view.

4. The trusty 9MM should be licensed and ready to fire, with a bullet in the chamber, for the protection of the security person, as 295 of protectors have been killed, when they did not have this ready protection.

LOL. You castigate others for assuming even the merest negative tidbit about Zimmerman, but have no problem claiming that Martin was looking to attack someone or burglarize an apartment?

Why don't you just admit it, you think all black kids in hoodies are criminals worth shooting?

FALSE! I did not say "Martin was looking to attack someone or burglarize an apartment", YOU said that.

What I said was "We'll probably never know who Martin may have attacked, or whose apartment he may have burglarized."

This is not a claim or an assumption. I spoke in speculation. You removed my speculation, and put it in definitive terms. As the buzzer sounds in the quiz shows >> AHHHHHHHHHH!!

Why don't you just admit it, you want to paint objective, unbiased posters as criminal racists, who think all black kids in hoodies are criminals worth shooting ?

What if a neighbor of yours speculated about crimes you may have committed? Rape, pedophilia, etc. Wouldn't you be offended at the implication and take it as an assault on your character and honesty?

Yeah I would ,since I have never done any of those crimes.

The difference is that it appears that Trayvon Martin HAS done burglaries, or at least jewelry reported stolen in a Miami-Dade police report was a match to jewlery found in his backpack. He was in possession of stolen property.

Of course you'd claim you didn't do any of those crimes, but how do we know for sure? You look pretty suspicious to me. Perhaps even mentally ill. Shouldn't I warn neighbors about you and report to the police if you are in the neighborhood looking like you are "up to no good" or "on drugs or something"?

Did Zimmerman know anything about Martin the night he killed him? Other than he was black and wearing a hoodie?

Yeah, he knew he was beating on him with his fists.

If a suspected pedophile was following me and tried to grab me, I'd be beating on him to defend myself. Why should Martin be any different.

Strange man follows a kid late at night? Pretty suspicious in my opinion. If I'd seen a man acting like that, I'd grab my 9mm and confronted him. If he went for his gun, I'd shoot him dead to defend myself.

HA HA. YOU KNOW why. You're being disingenuous. You should be ashamed of yourself. Zimmerman didn't try to grab Martin, and YOU KNOW it.

No one "knows" anything...we speculate.

Acting as if we do merely makes us seem the fool.

Agreed. We don't know what started the fight, who threw the first punch and why nor what was really going on in Zimmerman's mind when he pulled a gun on an unarmed kid and shot him.

We don't know if Zimmerman had been drinking or drugged or not since he wasn't tested.

Trayvon Martin Shot: Was His Assailant Drunk?
New reports also show that Zimmerman was not administered a Breathalyzer or toxicology screen, even though it is the protocol for shootings. Rod Wheeler, a law enforcement expert, told ABC News that Zimmerman sounded intoxicated in the 911 calls.

"When I listened to the 911 tape, the first thing that came to my mind is 'this guy sounds intoxicated.' Notice how he's slurring his words. We as trained law enforcement officers, we know how to listen for that right away, and I think that's going to be an important element of this entire investigation."

The Twin Lakes Retreat where George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin owes a great deal of gratitude and congratulation for George. Not only did George, in defending those guys, uphold the state's security procedures properly (in spite of misinformation from the Sanford Police), but he also showed a lot of guts by challenging Trayvon Martin. As a former security site supervisor, I know that this is one of the facets of security work where guards often falter. But Zimmerman was right there doing the job, without fear (at least initially).

So what honors is Twin Lakes going to bestow on their knight in shining armor (I mean that), for being out there in the trenches, and defending their butts, while they were safely home snuggling up to the fireplace, with a can of Bud ? Huh ?

Well, how about it, Twin Lakes. You OWE George a major commendation. What are you going to do to thank and congratulate him ? And get out from under that desk, will you ?

Jorge was not a security guard but he was in a neighborhood watch with his fellow apartment dwellers.
As far as security guards in general, unless they are highly trained and I mean ex MPs with tons of shooting range hrs and defense hrs plus a structured police type training program, they are better off to just call the real law. I feel the same way about ambulance drivers, stabilize and drive fast; don't try to be a Ben Casey unless the doctor is on the horn directing you!
