You've heard we're the "bad guys" but are we really?

Here's YOUR chance to ask our side of the argument.

What IS communism? What part does democracy play in communism? Are "communism" and "freedom" synonyms or antonyms?

These are just some of the questions to which i have the answers that the capitalists and governments don't want you to know. So ask a commie about politics and get the communist perspective. We're not as evil as you've been led to believe and i won't bite. Honest.

I have not heard the word "commie" in ages. I did not think communism was that relevant anyway. People these days are more worried about terrorism.

Communism for me is an ideology in an idealistic way, that has been used wrongly by totalitarian Governments to control its people. Becoming less of what it should have been when Karl Marx described what it was.

This is a definition of it from Wikipedia:
Communism (from Latin: communis = "common") is a family of economic and political ideas and social movements related to the establishment of an egalitarian, classless, or stateless society based on common ownership and control of the means of production and property in general, as well as the name given to such a society.

For something irrelevant, we Socialists/Communists (or Reds for anyone who wants to go Old School) are gaining quite a bit of ground. Elected 1 of our own to the US SEnate by a landslide in fact. :)

Who was that? And why was it not more heavily publicized? Am curious to know who it is.

And even in the bit you quoted, you proved that totalitarian governments could not possibly have been communist. Because they were statist and Marxism (and my own personal form of communism) is by definition stateless. The words "Communist" and "Government" are mutually exclusive.

And why was it not more heavily publicized?

Why do you think?

McCarthy should have been shot.

He was an insult to the liberty of the American People.

I still can't get it that he was never assassinated. How did he manage to survive when so much damage had been caused to so many people for generations to come, as the children of people who had been publicly humiliated, had lost jobs as a consequence, committed suicide, had an affect on whole families, and families of families. There had to have been at least a number of them who would have wanted to settle a score with this guy. :(

Communism is a classless, stateless social organization based on common ownership of the means of production.

Democracy plays a role in communism depending on how one defines Democracy. Democracy, in strict terms, is government by the people. Democracy could also be defined in terms of democratic systems of voting and whatnot, giving the common people a say in how things are run. In that case, Democracy is essential to Communism. Communism is NOT government by the people, but a socio-economic structure run by the people.

Communism and Freedom are synonyms, no doubt.

These are my basic answers, I can get more indepth upon questioning.

So here's the problem, they were not the only victims, their family were even more than they were. So how come one of them with obviously a very legitimate and real grudge did not get to nix McCarthy?

Because, most people in congress were behind him, Ronald Reagan droped the dime on every one in the movies. actors, writers, directors whoever he thought acted like a "commie" or thought they belonged to the communist party. Congress went aganist him when he started claming that the military was loaded with Commies. Most people at the time thought he was a patriotic hero.

I f***ing love you, comrade.

In regards to democracy, representative democracy is (arguably) what America has now. Direct democracy is what we want. Democracy without politicians, if you like.

I see anarchy coming. I can't imagine America without politicians.
