I've found quarts of milk in the non-refrigerated food section with a long shelf life at Dollar Tree! That's only slightly higher than buying fresh/cold milk (per quart by the gallon price) at discount places like Save A Lot or ALDI. Probably about the same or lower than ripoff grocery stores like Publix & others or even Walmart.
What this means, is you can have backup milk in the pantry, for emergencies/power outages or simply if you are running low on milk and you can use it, rather than making a special trip to a store.
